One of the best pure power hitters in the class, Lenihan put on a show in BP, going deep multiple times to left and left-center field with ease while maintaining a sound swing with polished moves and a clean bat path. Lenihan uses his legs well to hit, and his strength at the plate produced some of the hardest-hit balls on the day. Trent naturally looks like a hitter in the box and puts good swings at pitches in all locations. Lenihan showed some versatility in the field, with a good arm that plays from a corner outfield position and softer feet at 3rd; Lenihan looked comfortable making plays on the dirt and in the outfield. Trent runs well for a power bat, too, with a 60 time a hair over 7.

A fun athlete to watch play and is an uncommitted player that is a must-get.

11/22/20

One of the most potent bat players in the class, Lenihan reclassed from 2020 and continues to impress with his bat. He has shown loud contact and has improved his swing mechanically over the calendar year. At 6-foot-4 215-pounds, Lenihan is the author of a few impressive bombs in the past that have created a buzz around the Premier Baseball League, including one well over 400 feet in his home ballpark in White Rock, blasting it halfway up the trees in straight away CF. He has shown improvement in his defensive movements at third and first base, showcasing smooth hands, a low base and deliberate footwork. Lenihan is a big body and has shown growth and development both in his on-field product and his strength; any college looking for a big right-handed bat at the corner infield spots should be interested in this player, as he can only get better with development.

6/09/20

Lenihan is a highly projectable body with one of the top power ceilings in the province. As he continues to grow into his body and develop strength, he will fill into a powerful bat with the potential to turn heads in the future. He has seen time all around the infield, and with growing athleticism could see himself as a third basemen, though his height and defensive footwork reflects more of a first basemen’s toolbox.

4/16/18

Trent Lenihan 2020 6-foot-4 190-pound uncommitted corner infielder from the White Rock Tritons of the PBL. Showed some positives in bp with a simple easy swing hitting the ball from gap to gap with an exit velo of 86 mph. Has a lot of room to add muscle to his frame and with that expect to see more power. Hands work in the infield and showed an accurate arm but needs to improve on his arm strength to stay on the left side. Will be an interesting follow going forward with his size and frame there's a lot there to work with.
