3/26/18 at Boras Classic - Oregon signee, have seen Miller multiple times this spring. One of the regions most scouted (MLB) high school players for the 2018 draft. Looks the part of a slugger but the approach is more of a contact oriented hitter which isn't a bad thing, as power and the ability to learn to access it comes later down the road. Has fast hands, does know where the barrel is and can drive the ball from gap to gap. The opposite field hitting ability is good and allows him to cover multiple locations. Fast hands are trusted to simply react on the inside pitch and he's engaged with his legs which allows him to turn on that pitch. The hit tool and power projectability are both there. Defensively he plays both a corner outfield position and 1st base. Arm plays as an outfielder and from this look, his overall talents are more suited to the outfield, as he struggled on balls in the dirt at 1st base and the reads on throws could have been cleaner.
2/10/17 - Oregon signee, big strong 6-foot-2 205-pound build, put together well, no need to project on his future physicality, wide shoulders, well-proportioned, offensively he is a big strong hitter with a short, contact-oriented swing that still produces good power, chance to hit for average and power, while also displaying strong plate discipline and willingness to take a free base. Miller will be pitched to very carefully this spring and that was even the case in this scrimmage. Played right field, showed off an easy and strong arm, can improve his reads/angles off the bat.
