The four-hole hitter and SS for the Vikings Rodriguez features a solid present body with some strength in his lower half, but has room to polish/improve as he matures to help his overall solid toolset continue to improve. He is a solid defender at SS whose arm shows carry with accuracy and the feel to throw from multiple slots with the body control to play downhill comfortably, but the athleticism presently would play better at 2B/3B at the college level in the future. He was reliable in the game and made all the plays he had opportunities on and profiles to be a sound INF defender long term. At the plate he uses a simple quiet load with a small forward move, slight shift of weight back while separating his hands from his body slightly and gets to the launch position consistently on time to make quality swing decisions. The bat path stays in the zone well with present quickness to the bat speed allowing him to consistently hit the ball solidly during this live look. The path is slightly uphill with sound use of his lower ½ which profiles as a line to line doubles profile with some future HR potential to the pull side of the field for the RH hitter. His numbers on the 2025 spring back up the present toolset and Rodriguez profiles to be a solid college prospect.
