ACG Tryout - Confident player. Present pull side power. Aggressive left handed uppercut that meets the ball well out front. Every ball was pulled. Clean actions in the infield and soft hands. Moves energetically. Ran a 7.00 second 60 yard dash and threw 78 mph across the diamond.
vs Tamalpais - Strong build, sturdy lower half, most notable present tool is power, has easy power to the pull side which can happen with a fairly simply stroke and flick through contact, 1-for-3 in this look with K, F5, HR, 2-3 hooked foul balls and two were hit 380' or more, homer on 0-2 FB from soft LHP after swining through 0-1 CB, the heavy pull approach will have to be adjusted as he develops and given that his home field (small and wind helps the LHH) rewards LHH who can pull and lift the ball, it may take some time to develop a whole field approach. The power IS real though. Played a clean 3B, used awareness and verbal-ness to call out a potential squeeze, plays with confidence.
