3/27/18 at Boras Classic - Average athletic 5-foot-10 165-pound body type, still quite a ways from physical maturity. Left-handed hitter with a chance to develop good top of the order capabilities. Displayed strike zone awareness and an understanding of what he wants to hit. Quiet in the box, swing happens easy and good swing mechanics. Contact oriented approach with a quick bat and as he continues to work to be flat through contact he has a chance to find hits all over the field. Caviness showed an average to slightly above average arm for his age, he runs well and had solid actions, as he moved through the ball and showed good accuracy with his throws. Talented player with a ceiling to reach that is still in front of him.
