Positional Profile: LHP/OF
Physical
: 5-11, 140-pounds; Lean, wiry build. 7.63 runner in the 60.
Pitching: Uses an arm side setup while using an angled drop step. Mid chest leg drive with a slight coil away from the plate. Has a long stride while landing closed. Long arm swing while stabbing downward; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 3B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 80 MPH, while sitting 78-79 MPH; arm side run with sink. CB: 65-67 MPH; late action. SL: 68-69 MPH; slurve like. Loosey goosey delivery, tucks at top of lift with ability to hide ball, lowers slot a bit on slider, both CB and SL have spin that allows positive projection of both pitches, delivery and stuff along with set up can create challenges for LHH and RHH alike.

Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; upright bat position. Extended take back of the hands with a knee knock leg kick for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a flat swing path with two handed finish. More ground balls than line drives and fly balls with a peak exit velocity of 82 MPH via Trackman. Starts with back elbow flared up, has fluidity to the swing, early release of top hand over the ball created heavy ground ball percentage (75).
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while showing active feet. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Short take back from a standard 3/4 arm slot. OF - 78 MPH. Average approach to ball, gets ball out fairly quickly, throws displayed tailing action at the target, tips head a bit as he fields the ball.
