3/1/18 - Santa Clara commit. 6-foot, 175-pound athletic, lean frame with sloped shoulders. Body projects to add mass to his wiry strong build. Slick fielding shortstop he does everything you'd want from a player in that position. Shows very good range to either side, excellent glove skills, clean exchanges, plays with complete body control, very good arm that is able to make all the throws from every angle. Charges the ball under control and puts himself in perfect throwing position when he gets there. Defense is a little ahead of the bat, but only because he so good defensively. At the plate Faddoul shows a quite approach that results in regular contact. More of a slap/push hitter than a power guy, he shows he can run into one on occasion. Has good feel for the barrel and good bat-to-ball skills. Understands his zone and stays true to it. Doesn't chase bad pitches and covers the entire plate.
