Long, projectable frame. Easy power from the left side.
4/1/14 - A member of Team USA’s 15U National Team in 2013, Sabol had a solid return to Cary, NC, with a 3-for-12 performance. He had a triple, five runs scored and reached base seven times between his three hits, one walk, two errors and fielder’s choice. He has a long frame with tons of room to fill out at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds. His long arms can lead to a long swing at times, but he showed an ability to stay short to the ball. He has good bat speed and the ball jumps off his barrel. He stands tall at the plate with a slightly open stance and takes a medium stride. He has some experience behind the plate, but is likely destined for first base or a corner outfield spot. His bat is going to carry him. As he fills out, he’ll start to tap into his power potential more.

8-1-2018: Plus athlete and versatile defender who has seen time behind the plate, in the outfield and at first base this summer. Sabol has slightly less than average arm strength, but no matter where he lines up on the diamond, he has raked. He’s currently batting .340 with a .445 OBP and .573 SLG. Also, a plus runner underway and has used that speed to steal 14 bases this summer. Offensively, sets up with an open stance and narrow base. Loads with bat tilt and has good rhythm. Bat path is long through the zone. Despite not using using his lower half much in his swing, Sabol is currently tied for second in the Cape with seven home runs. Presently six-foot-four, 205 pounds, continued strength gains could boost his power production even further. If so, Sabol will be yet another top round college bat for 2019. (Seifert)
