V Monterey - Minot State Commit. Small frame, compact with high waist and current strength. Athletic and quick with feet that stay underneath him and allow him the ability to move laterally and create strong angles on the baseball defensively. Understands rhythm and timing on defense moving through the baseball and showing extended range to his glove side. Knowledge of the bag and able to show a quick release for double-play turns or when on the move throwing strikes across the diamond. Fringe arm that is playable at position because of his ability to move and create easy throws for himself. Open-balanced stance with even hands and flared back elbow. Hands load back staying connected to body with late quickness on direct path to baseball. Compact, quick barrel with extension through contact; flashed feel for the barrel being able to stay to middle-oppo portion of the field. Two balls barreled through middle and 6 hole taking wide turns around 1st base looking to grab an extra bag. Quick feet stay underneath him when running with crisp angles around the bag (4.19 H-1st, 4.53-4.71T).

Vs Palma - Minot State commit. Small, compact frame that is lean with some upper half strength. Open stance with slight bend of knees keeping bat on back shoulder with flared elbows. Pulls hands back and down as he steps closed, tucking back elbow and keeping hands tight to body; bat is flat and on plane with oppo approach made for hard line drives through holes. Quick out of the box with quick, athletic stride showing limited effort getting down the line well (4.27 H-1st); loose hips with the ability to quickly turn and change angle in full stride. Can stick in the middle of the infield with strong glove work and angles controlling his body through the baseball. Compact arm with fringe average strength; understanding of angles and quick feet help make the arm playable at SS. During pregame was loud and took charge, encouraging teammates and showing leadership skills that are regularly coveted in middle of the diamond.

10/27-10/29/18 - NCTB Fall Classic - Small frame with stronger lower half; legs show strength with more thickness that looks mature. Showed a compact and flat swing from left side with even hands. Quickness in hands with the ability to be on time and flashed barrel control in game regularly peppering left and centerfield. Sees the ball well. Strong footwork at SS showing ability to make routine plays and be quick around the bag; enough arm strength for flashes at SS but will look better at 2B in the future, accuracy better on right side of infield. Compact arm with ability to throw from angles and on the move while showing a quick release. Wasn’t at testing and didn’t get a clean home to first, but showed fringe-average speed with ability to open hips and move quickly.
