Cape Cod: Redshirted in 2022 at UCLA before transferring across town to USC, where he hit .302/.394/.475 with seven homers this spring. The son of former big leaguer Mark Grudzielanek, Bryce has a big, rangy pro frame at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, and like Kaeden Kent he projects as an offense-oriented second baseman or perhaps a third baseman. He was slowed by a bum ankle this summer and showed well below-average run times (4.5 seconds home to first) but moved better underway. Martin-Grudzielanek has fair bat speed and some length in his righthanded swing, with a tendency to pull off the ball, but we also did see him drive the ball to right field with authority at times. If his power continues to emerge and he finds a defensive home, Martin-Grudzielanek could wind up as a top-10-rounds pick next year, but he has a ways to go yet.

Rockies Invitational - Played 3B, SS, 1B and hit in the top 4 batting order spots in three tournament games for the Trosky RedBirds. Showed power with a towering double off the 360ft sign in left-center on a big league spring training field. Was not phased by increased velocity and better off-speed pitches in a loaded tournament.

8/10/19

USD Showcase - Started at SS and hit 3rd for the Trosky RedBirds. 6-foot-1 and 175 pound emerging ballplayer. Running tool is average. Showed power to left and right field with hard hit line drives to both fields. Made the necessary plays at SS and showed some lateral movement but seems best suited for 3B. Quickly emerging as one the premier uncommitted players in San Diego because of his present/future hit and power tool.
