Area Code Underclass tryout - UCLA commit; long athletic body, loose arm, long backside, can occassionally yank to glove side, fair amount of margin for error in arm stroke but the arm is strong and powerful, creates big sink, big movement patters, FB 85-87, T89, SL 72-74 with big sweeping bite. Given body and arm talent and present stuff, there is considerable ceiling here.

PBR NORTHERN CA UNDERCLASS GAMES

Body: 6-foot-2, 175-pounds. Long lanky body, ample room w/in his frame for size/strength gains
Hit: RHH. Balanced/athletic looking set-up, holds hands lower just off chest w/relaxed elbows, small stride w/minimal load to backside, could work to get back knee over back foot better, some barrel tip toward pitcher before tipping back creates some inconsistency in barrel contact, there is hand/bat speed, there are raw tools to hit though there is some cleaning up to do, generally a pull-side approach and wants to gets his arms extended.
Power: 80 mph EV off tee
Arm: 3B velo - 76 mph (R) - Loose and quick arm, arm action brings ball to his waist that & could shorten up as a 3rd baseman and eliminate some tailing action across the diamond, plenty of arm strength and there is more coming.
Defense: Agile feet, good reads, plays on the move well with soft hands and tools to play average to above defense at 3rd base, confident actions and plays ground balls athletically.
Run: 7.59 60-yard

PITCHING

Delivery: RHP - Agile w/fluid actions, can clean up some of the movements, starts w/minimal hands rhythm as lower body has quite a bit of movement, strike foot lands open and allows energy loss to 1B side, easy high knee lift, generates power well from post leg and energy created as he leaves the rubber. Plenty to work with/on here and find considerably more 'stuff'
Arm Action: Loose arm w/good arm strength/speed, long on backside, can work to develop more consistent backside mechanics to tighten up the feel of the zone, gets to 3/4 release
FB: 79-82, T83 mph - Avg 2001 RPM, T2285 - Flashed life/movement on arm side that gave glimpse of nice FB/SL combo, firm FB in future though control will have to continue to improve
SL: 69-74 mph - 1840-2010 RPM - Big w/late break out of zone, thrown w/feel and looked confident in when to go with it and how he wanted to use it, chance to develop into a quality out-type pitch
