4/5/19: Athletic, still some projection, with room to add weight and strength. Played center field in the game, but took ground balls at short everyday (broken finger earlier in year). Solid actions at short, displaying below average arm strength. Below average outfield instincts during the game, but did catch what he got to. Showed as a plus runner. At the plate he looks to pull and cheats to do it. Numbers would deceive, contact not great but found a lot of holes. If you can stay on the outer half, he just keeps pulling off. Athleticism and his statistics probably play him into 8-10th round. Profiles as a utility, multiple position type guy. Reminds me of Andy Fox (former NYY, AZ, MIA utilityman). (Gouldsmith)
8/5/18: Loose bodied shortstop with good actions and body control. Physical projection remains to his 6’2/180 frame. Showed average range getting to batted balls, but did not consistently make accurate throws on the run to finish the play. Above average arm strength. At the plate showed a big load and a longer, flat swing. Used all fields. Marginal present raw power should be above average with added strength. Will also bunt, running 3.77 down the line on a drag. Overall, an interesting package of tools and abilities that may receive Day Two consideration in 2019, but largely dependent upon his performance this spring after slashing .254/.302/.325 this summer in the Cape.
