10/11/20

DefenseMoves well for a big man, long reach, potential for plus defense at first.
ArmRH.  INF - 77 mph.  Arm showed some life, backhand throws had some juice behind them, lower half needs more emphasis in throws.
Hit: RHH. Tall in the box, hands high, low to high swing path, quick hands, needs to engage lower half more. Blast Motion scores of 36/57/46. Scores show he gets in a good position to hit and gets there with some speed but the bat isn't in the zone for long.
Power95 mph exit velocity .
Run7.91 runner in the 60.

8/16/20

Positional Profile: 1B/3B
Body: 6-4, 205-pounds. Proto-type first baseman, tall, proportional frame, with long arms and legs. Landaas has some physical projection remaining even at current size.
Defense: Good footwork with proper fielding technique. Works well around the bag and agile for his size.
Arm: RH.  INF - 78 mph.  Average. Proper mechanics. Makes all the double play feeds with ease.
Hit: RHH. Balanced, wider, athletic stance with minimal stride and hand trigger  Direct to ball with excellent bat speed
Power: 91 mph exit velocity. Could be his carry tool if all things come together. Has over the fence power potential
Run: 7.74 runner in the 60.

1/04/20

Preseason All-State. This is our second look at Landaas in this type of setting. Has a proto-type first baseman, tall, proportional frame, with long arms and legs. Landaas has some physical projection remaining even at current size. Sets up with a traditional, balanced stance with feet shoulder width apart. Hand load is minimal.  Has a pick-up-put-down foot strike on approach to contact with nominal travel. Really gets into his legs with through contact leading to a high finish. Demonstrates excellent bat speed that will possess over the fence power potential as he matures and adds muscle. Moves well laterally and can field the routine ground ball consistently. Looks comfortable around the bag using proper footwork and can turn the double play with ease.

6/01/19

Uncommitted. Six-foot-3, 200-pounds. Extra large, long, developing frame. Some present strength in the shoulders down to the wrist, but the body really projects for continued physical development and added strength. Landaas starts with a cocked load that leads into solid contact. Hands start in launch position and are average speed through the zone. Maintains barrel on plane through zone and into extension. Has present pop that should develop consistency with continued maturation. Defensively Landaas worked out at first base where he showed average footwork with quick hands and a strong, accurate arm. Understands angles off the bat.
