10/17/18 - McGuire is a physically gifted and talented player who shows a high level of baseball intelligence on the field. His fluid footwork and understanding of angles coupled with his athleticism allow him to make difficult plays look easy. At the plate his power, and its potential, are beginning to show itself more consistently pairing well with his present bat-to-ball skills.

3/18 – Uncommitted 5-foot-10, 170-pound frame, mid-sized, durable, athletic frame with physical development remaining. McGuire displays an advanced approach, plate awareness, a pronounced leg kick, cork load and rhythmic swing. Power numbers are in the form of 2B currently, and has advanced bat-to-ball skills. Has the ability to handle barrel and hit behind runners. McGuire exhibits smooth defensive actions, sure hands, with good footwork around the bag, alongside the skill to turn a clean double-play. He is not a true base threat, but is adequate on the base paths and gets good jumps and reads.
