2/24/18 – Uncommitted.  Medium build, toned, athletic body with room for growth.  A virtual unknown in the SoCal circuit.  Taveras is in the true sense a Utility player.  He plays all the positions, plus he is a switch hitter.  Taveras has Dominican Republic bloodlines as his dad is from the DR and toiled in the minor leagues as a catcher with Colorado Rockies in the 90’s.  Taveras only hit from the left side in the DH and displayed a silky smooth swing with a small leg kick and some natural lift. When this guy builds muscle we should see his power numbers climb.  He is an up and comer that garners attention from colleges. Taveras finished 3 for 5 with a 2B, 1 run & 1 punch out.
