Simonton continued his hot start to the season in the first inning, pulling a 2-2 fastball up into left-center-field and stretching it into a triple. Although this was his only hit on the day, he made his presence felt throughout the rest of the game, including a hard-hit liner to left-center and being intentionally walked in the bottom of the eighth to set up a walk-off win for Pittsburg. With quick hands at the plate and good bat-to-ball skills, Simonton should continue to be a big part of the Pittsburg lineup.

Dev is smooth on the INF showing the ability to play one handed and attack the baseball, doesn't stay flat footed. Very quick when moving arounf the INF, his 7.17 60yd Dash showed that, with a mac run speed of 19.9 MPH. His arm will allow him the ability to play in the left side. Simonton is a gap to gap hitter, and thats when he plays his best. Max EV on the day was 92.3 MPH with an avg EV of 85.2 MPH. Dev plays on a talented Pittsburg HS team so he will find a way to contribute whether hes pitching or somehwere on the infield, fun player to follow.
