At Mitty - Cal State San Marcos commit. Meza was on base 4 times in the game picking up two hits and a walk showing a quick bat that is compact with a middle of the field focus. The defensive miscue with the infield in was an anomaly as he made some really nice plays deep in the hole later in the game. The arm is fringy showing flashes of average with the ability to stay in the middle of the diamond due to his quick feet and good angles on the baseball. He had good AB’s all day and played with a calm patience.
6/1/18-6/3/18 @ BAWS 2018 - Strong lean athletic build, previous description holds up. Narrow open stance with high back elbow; high finish on swing from loft bat path. Ability to drop barrel on pitches to the inner half; 90 exit velocity on ball at centerfielder. Trusts arm in the infield and gets easy carry on throws to 1st; range is somewhat limited but playmaker within his range where he does maintain his athleticism.
10/29/17 - Lean athlete at 5-foot-10 170-pounds, not big but eyes are drawn to his body type and actions on the field, tools are there even if not jumping off the page yet, strong arm, moves around like a confident athlete, good stroke, strong kid despite listed size, he's got tools.
