BAWS 2019 - Medium frame strong build; proportioned and full. Pitched very well during 3 innings over two games working with a natural arm swing to H-3/4 from a stretch only delivery; athletic and balanced on the rubber. Strong front leg finishing over a slightly closed toe, Curley pounded the zone with three pitches striking out 7 of his 11 batters. FB 82-84 T85 with ability to spot to lower half arm side. CB 68-71 was very good getting swings and miss with deep, late 1/6-to-1/7 shape; great feel for the pitch being able to stay on top and drive through the zone. CHG 79 showing tail off a FB look; chance to be a solid third pitch
Uncommitted; Body is wide and he has broad shoulders which bodes well for him. With added conditioning and strength he should become more athletic helping him improve his all-around game. Curley sat 79-81 T82 MPH with the FB today, having the pitch play up because of the above-average breaking ball he showed. That CB was 69-71 MPH showing big, sharp downer action that baffled hitters all day. If he can add some velocity Curley could have a bright future
