A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average

Positional Profile: OF/2B/P Physical: 5-9, 165-pounds; Muscular, proportional build. 7.51 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet wide spread; upright bat position. Short take back with the hands with a heel lift for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a direct swing path with two-handed finish. More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 89 MPH via Trackman. Consistently hits ball hard, maxes out present strength, hits hard to all fields, somewhat hitterish presence. Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep hop while showing active feet. Hands are out in front while staying low during transfer. Short take back from a high-3/4 arm slot. INF - 82 MPH. OF - 85 MPH. OF approach is similar, squares up, fields out front, aggressive move to the ball, arm stroke a bit deeper, aggressive thrower at both INF and OF, true utility profile as OF/INF.
Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup working primarily from the stretch. Belt high leg drive with shoulders above the hips. Has a moderate stride while landing slightly closed. Moderate arm swing while showing no restrictions; high/over the top slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 82 MPH, while sitting 81-82 MPH; plays up in the zone. CB: 67-69 MPH; 11-5 shape. CH: 75-76 MPH; fading action. Reliever type with ability to go up with FB and pound CB below bats, attacking style.
10/17/21
Body: 5-9, 165-pounds. Smaller frame with some present strength, athleticism showed best laterally when fielding, room for more physically. Hit: RHH. Sits deep in his legs, hands set higher, sees the ball well, timing key, unique hitting setup with pros and cons. Blast Motion scores of 46-52-30. Results vary showing swing alignment as his best attribute, low rotation highlights his reliance on timing. Power: 89.00 max exit velocity Arm: RH. INF - 81.00 mph. OF - 82.00 mph. Whole body throw, no wasted movement, slow to get going, inconsistent accuracy but speed behind all throws. Defense: Able to play both in the outfield and infield. Moves well laterally; tracking balls to his glove side with ease both on the grass and dirt. Slow approach to the ball and all body throws make for a slower release. Arm strength gives him an edge. Run: 7.57 runner in the 60.
7/16/21
Body: 5-8, 165-pounds. Smaller athletic frame. Some present strength in the lower half. Hit: RHH. Open stance with lower hanging hands and a higher elbow. Uses a leg kick trigger that gathers into the back knee and starts some internal rotation. Bat works back into a good early connection position and enters the zone on a more uphill path which creates some natural lift (53.8% flyball rate in BP). Used the whole field during BP session. Had two hits on the weekend. Dug an 86 mph low in FB out and drove it to left. Then in game two he drove a double into the RC gap that carried quite well. Power: 95 max exit velocity Arm: RH. INF - 85 mph. OF - 89 mph. Above average arm strength for his level at both positions. 4/6 accurate throws from the OF which included some on the fly and some one hops. Showed decent carry to the bag. Defense: In the outfield, feet were more choppy when getting to field the ball. Fields ball on back foot. Uses extra steps to gain good momentum. Run: 7.25 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Athletic delivery. Delays upperbody/torso as long as possible. Medium knee tuck. Rotates body fast. Front leg and glove hand work rotationally starting at third base side and wrapping back in line. Stays connected into back hip as he moves down the mound. Good fielding position at landing. Arm Action: RH. Really pulls back into scalp. Compact arm circle in the back that you can see out the back. Comes out of an over the top slot. Decent arm speed that accelerates at release. FB: T85, 83-84 mph. Consistent glove side feel. 12:30 tilt helped give it some decent VB at around 19 inches. FB proved tough to square up because of that CB: 72-73 mph. Only spun 1 CB during game action that had slurvy break and had decent spin at around 2400.
7/11/21
Body: Athletic build with room to get stronger, uses his body to show his athleticism both in the outfield and infield. Moves laterally well, as well as moving back and forward.
Hit: Slow leg kick, with hands already in a loaded position to hit. Makes good tight turns to ball, as well gets tilt to elevate the baseball. Stays in his backside well, and will show some power. Drove a ball to left center in game, by staying inside ball. Exit velo of 92 mph
Power: Gets in his backside early with leg kick, power is to pull side and showed some gap power as well.
Arm: With an over the top release, ball comes out well. He is able to keep his lower half under him to get behind the ball and release.
Defense: Approach to the bal is smooth and with an open glove Isaiah is able to glove the ball no matter the hop. His first step is quick, able to read bounces.
Run: With very balanced stance to start, front hip opens for a quick take off. Runs in a straight line for a 7.25
6/22/21
Positional Profile: 2B/OF Body: 5-8, 155-pounds. Compact build, smaller frame, has some visible lower body strength. Hit: RHH. Slightly open with small crouch and medium width feet, lower hand slot with higher elbow, high knee reverse stride with coiling and elastic tension created in the load. Fly ball approach, uphill through contact, has bat speed and life in hands, does have barrel awareness. Power: 88 max exit velocity Arm: RH. INF - 83 mph. OF - 86 mph. INF - showed multiple arm angles, high-3/4 is his natural slot with some scap pinching on backside, ball exits hands well. OF - similar arm action as in infield on balls hit right at him, ball comes out of hand with quality velocity, displayed accuracy and flashes of carry. Defense: INF - played low through the ball, stayed in legs to get throws off, shorter strides but gained ground with efficiency, athletic legs with agility. OF - Choppy small steps on approach, tips head down while slowing at ball a bit. Run: 7.32 runner in the 60.
7/23/20
Positional Profile: SS/OF Body: 5-8, 155-pounds. 5-foot-8, 155-pounds. Average proportions, compact type build. Defense: Rounds ball on the ground in OF, solid mechanics on way to ball and after catching it though release time could get quicker. As an INF lays back quite a bit as he reads the hops, showed soft hands and ability to get off throws accurately moving to both left and right. Range is limited due to tendency to not move to/through the ball. Arm: RH. INF - 79 mph. OF - 82 mph. Confident with arm stroke, controls arm swing well, release works with rhythm of feet, average exit from hand with fair carry and average accuracy. Hit: RHH. Tall slightly open setup, barrel travels in multiple directions as he gets ready to swing, high knee lift as he loads, crash to contact approach, big man approach on an average strength player. Swing has length, pull-side approach with power intent, ball in his spot (at waist inner half) he showed well, mechanics and approach seem too big to be consistent. Does a nice job of exploding his hips. Swing looseness and ease is a positive attribute. Power: 87 mph exit velocity in cage front toss session. Run: 7.29 runner in the 60.
