2/12/19 - Parra, a San Diego State bounceback, started in left field after playing his entire high school career on the infield and made it look very natural. At five-foot-9, 185-pounds, Parra has the physical profile of an infielder, not to mention the tools for the position, but his athleticism allows him to move to the outfield with ease. His first step and reactions to balls off the bat are natural and he has plenty of arm to make throws from deep in the gaps. At the plate he’s quick to the ball with fast hands from a balanced setup. Incorporates the lower half very well and with the strength there produces ample power to drive balls into the gaps as demonstrated by his double off the wall in left field. He’s an instinctive runner that reads balls off the bat very well and understands when to be aggressive in taking an extra base.
