Leeper went 2-2 hitting a 2B and a 1B versus SI. He faced a LHP, displaying a good approach, being patient and looking for pitches to drive. Leeper has a strong present physical standing at 6-2, 190. Leeper showed off his ability to change planes as he drove above the zone FB to LF, staying level with extension through the zone. His upright stance allows him to stay tall on his backside and his explosive lower half creates the ability to get to pitches with lift. Leeper is a player that doesn’t try to do too much at the plate, trusting his strong, compact swing to hit pitches on any part of the plate. He is a player that will be an exciting development as he grows into his power tool that will translate well with his strong frame.
