10/29/19

Fall tournament - Thick and sturdy body type, one of the more talented uncommitted 2019 pitchers in the region, strong build, particularly his lower half, backside arm action similar to that of MLB pitcher Phil Hughes with shallow takeway and sort of a locked elbow and wrist, fastball up to 87/88 in two different outings to go with feel of a slider (76-80) that was usable to both sides of plate. Durable body type with a good arm and at least one solid secondary pitch. Worth seeing in the spring of 2019.

7/19/18

Upperclass Tourney - Two separate reports from two different scouts at tourney: Multiple quality pitches in his arsenal. With mechanics that were well developed he was able to repeat his delivery and able to use his hips to throw accurately and with good velocity. He was sitting around 86 and topping out at 88. Showed quality offspeed offerings and ability to locate them effectively. /// Good frame, strong arm, worked 84-86 mph, topped 88 mph, good arm side run, worked both sides of plate well, high-3/4 slot, sharp breaking ball 72-74 mph with good two-plane break, threw a few change-ups at 76 mph with some decent run. Good pitcher, good stuff.
