4/3/18 - 4/6/18 - The frame has matured, and he has some lean strength now. Plays the game very relaxed. Almost too relaxed at times. Mature approach at the plate, and takes his time. Doesn't let anything rush him. Balanced with a late, twitchy hands load. Bat wraps as hands load deep before working flat through the zone. He got on a few balls and drove them.

2/2018 – The 6'2, 185lb UCLA 2-way recruit presently has a very athletic build with room to grow into. Moberg shows the ability to handle both positions (RHP/SS) with effortless ability and actions. Moberg has sneaky raw power, but currently is a gap-to-gap hitter. He has the capacity to backspin the ball, and will produce plenty of 2Bs with HR potential in the future. On the mound Moberg displays command of his 3 pitches, featuring a sinking FB at 89-91mph, a sharp CB, and feel for the CH at 79-82mph. He is extremely projectable because of his pitch-ability, command, and showing the aptitude to throw any pitch on any count. Moberg's competitiveness is glaring on the mound, as he is a bulldog that refuses to give in.
8/2017 - Makes hard contact with loose hands at the plate. Uses the whole field. Went with fastball away, 94 exit velo. Sac fly was to deep center field, 96 off the bat. Pulled a hard RBI single through the left side of the infield. 3-for-12 at Area Code Games with a double and five RBIs.
4/21/17 - Deliberate, slow tempo on the mound. 86-88 fastball. Curveball inconsistent, but flashed sharpness. 70-73. Feel for changeup at 78-81.
4/20/17 - 1-for-3 with a double and simply looks the part on the field. He flicked a double into the right-center gap in his final at-bat and showed athletic actions to go with easy arm strength at shortstop.
4/18/17 - Committed to UCLA, and it was easy to see why. The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder is balanced at the plate in a crouch, and shows great patience when seeking his pitch. Moberg was 2-for-2 on the day, and really set the tone for the Vista Murrieta win. His barrel shows lag through the zone, and he will be a future gap-to-gap hitter who will have a chance to hit somewhere at the top of the order for UCLA. In the field, he was a general, and made all the tough plays look clean and easy. A big competitor, Moberg came into pitch in the seventh with runners on, and featured a fastball that sat 86-88 while flashing a slider at 70-71. Moberg gives off the vibe of being a natural leader and winner, and will be a fun player to watch progress.
