Positional Profile: RHP/SS Projectable arm with long levers and a repeatable, same-slot delivery.
Body: 6-4, 202-pounds. Long levers with room to fill.
Delivery: Front facing wind up with the glove starting at face level. Rocks back with the front leg, bringing the glove to belt level. High, arching leg kick towards the chest with the body shifting backwards. Sinks well into the hips to create strong hip-shoulder separation. Body stays tight throughout the delivery and lands consistently in the same spot with the front foot.
Arm Action: RH. Low 3/4 release point with a quick, full-circle arm backpath. Very loose motions with an easy release. Slight recoil present. Throws from the same slot on every pitch.
FB: T91, 89-91 mph. Firm with lots of life, showing heavy ASR. T2251, 2155 average rpm.
SL: 73-79 mph. Heavy horizontal break, sweep-like action. T2217, 2127 average rpm.
CH: 80-82 mph. Fading, diving action towards the arm side. Different look from the fastball that can cause swing-and-misses. T1531, 1458 average rpm.
SPLT: 75-76 mph. Fade present.

Janeski may have shown some of his best stuff to date despite a stat line that doesn't fully capture how well he threw. The 6-4 right-hander possesses a long, athletic frame and a mature mound presence well beyond his age. Working 88-91 mph with the fastball, Janeski consistently applied pressure in the strike zone and showed feel for a deep four-pitch mix that included a 75-78 mph slider, 79-81 mph changeup, and 75-76 mph splitter. His delivery is fluid and athletic, featuring a high leg lift, loose arm action, and quality downhill angle that allows the entire arsenal to play up. Janeski recorded one strikeout in his five-batter appearance and surrendered a pair of hits, but the overall quality of the stuff stood out. The lower half has filled out considerably over the past year, and the added strength is beginning to show in both the velocity and overall consistency of his arsenal. He looked comfortable attacking hitters, showed confidence throwing all four pitches, and continued to flash the traits of a starter profile. Janeski's projection of where he is at right now to where he could be in two to three years is why he will be a big follow leading into this summer and beyond.
