7-13-2018:�6-foot-3, 230 pounds. Big body. Only got a chance to see him hit, but he holds a 2.75 ERA over 16.1 innings along with 26 strikeouts this summer. At the plate, he sets up in a low spread stance. Hands cocked backwards. Weight transfer is under control. Hands are quick, on a short path to the ball. Clean swing for a big man. Didn’t get a time on him down the line, but he moved well for his size. Went two-for-three with a double down the left field line into the corner and a flare single over the head of the second baseman. Has the ability to hit for average, he sees the ball well and has good numbers to show success on the mound. Quality two-way player going into his final year at Cal-State Northridge. (Jake Stone)
