3/7/18 - 6’2/215, Junior. Coming off his perfect game last weekend, DeMers wasn’t perfect again, but he was good (7.2 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 5 SO). High pitchability righty who relies on power sink, angle from his arm slot and deception from his delivery; big hip turn, funky stride, open landing. Topped out at 91 mph with his 4-seamer, but mostly pitched 86-89 with his sinker. Fastball plays above average. Did a good job selling his changeup with his body with it ranging from 78-80 mph. Mixed in 75-76 mph curveball. Plus-plus feel and a remarkable awareness about the game. Does not look like a good athlete, but he is. Fields his position at a high level, holds runners and covers the open base.
