vs Christopher - Uncommitted. X-small frame that very athletic and compact with width in the shoulders. Body built for speed and able to use it in every facet of his game. At the plate stands very wide with hands at the back shoulder keeping elbows flared out. Limited load; lifts front foot showing small transfer of weight as hands make small movement back keeping wide stance. Swing is compact and direct with flashes of loft when letting bottom hand work through the baseball; will flatten out and get top-hand heavy creating easy ground balls. Drove pitch into RCF gap for stand up triple where bat showed some quickness through the zone. Plus speed out of box with 1st step quickness gliding down line; 4.10 on routine groundout to 2B, 4.12 on groundout to 1B and 4.15 on turn for triple (11.0 Flat H-3rd). Same speed is used in CF where he can track the ball well off the bat and cover ground laterally taking away would be hits. Arm is below average; compact with throws online, but limited carry. Size may limit the overall profile, but speed kills and Berring has plenty of it.
