Jonas Hart, Huntington Beach High (CA), 2027 Positional Profile: RHP/OF Did not participate in workout portion of event. Highly projectable RHP that can add a lot of muscle to improve the fastball to go along with quality changeup. Body: 6-3, 180-pounds. Lanky, tall frame. Ideal pitching build with room to grow and high projectability. Delivery: Goes from stretch position all the time. Keeps strong posture. Generates solid extension. Could rotate quicker. Slow, deliberate leg kick that kicks out and back before evening. Arm Action: RH. Big, deep arm circle. Hides the ball well into 3/4 arm slot to create strong deception. Prone to over extending his arm slot, which make shim yank the ball gloveside. FB: T83, 77-80 mph. Gets a ton of run armside. Big groundball getter when located well. Overthrows at times but generally solid command. T2107, 1697 average rpm. CB: 71-74 mph. Doesn't have a lot of movement or depth. More of a loopy pitch that lets gravity move the ball. Can surprise for strikes but does not fool hitters. T1690, 1577 average rpm. CH: 72-73 mph. His best pitch. Excellent horizontal movement with a strong fading action that explodes thanks to the deception in his delivery. Pitch has great depth, adding a sharp downward bite when thrown well. T1566, 1449 average rpm.

Jonas Hart, Huntington Beach High (CA), 2027 Positional Profile: RHP/OF Long-levered arm with fluid, repeatable mechanics and great hip-shoulder separation. Body: 6-4, 178-pounds. Lanky frame with long levers. Room to fill. Delivery: Throws from the stretch, slightly offset with the body facing towards shortstop. Very postured up to start the stance with the glove held just above belt level. High leg lift straight towards the chest, staying postured up throughout. Drives low on the mound, vertically down, without sinking all the way into the rear hip. Shows a long extension on the mound with great hip-shoulder separation. Very fluid, repeatable mechanics. Arm Action: RH. Full-circle, very loose arm backpath, throwing from a low 3/4 release point, almost side arm. Very loose, easy release with slight recoil. FB: Heavy ASR with some sinking action. CB: A different look from the fastball and changeup, showing strong downward movement. Very deceptive. CH: Plays well off the fastball, can deceive hitters with the same motions.
