3/23/21

at Marin Catholic - Portland commit; Compact athletic build, energetic player with palpable field presence, displays sticky SS hands with deft skills on picking short hops and slapping tags, range plays above average up the middle with ability to throw on the move from challenging arm angles and do so with accuracy. Competitive hittter with ability to make 2K adjustments while displaying swing adjustability. Strong breaks on stolen base attempts, outstanding BID recognition and advance. Good baseball player with winning style of play and intangibles. Ran 4.32 down the line on a 4-3 put-out.

11/14/20

Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 5-9, 170-pounds. Compact athletic build with present strength.
Hit: RHH. Wide feet, tall, square stance, hands off chest then stretches them to a deep load and lower slot, reverse toe tap into gliding stride. Aggressive attack angle tailored to lift the ball, some barrel inconsistency though impactful contact when squred up; 22 max rotational acceleration (17.83 avg), 59% on plane efficiency, 60% fly balls.
Power: 95 mph exit velocity in live BP via TrackMan. 24.7 max hand speed (22.44 avg), 86.5 max bat speed (73.46 avg).
Arm: RH. INF - 85 mph. Compact quick arm, quick release, accurate with easy delivery and carry on throws, maintained higher slot on each throw.
Defense: Smooth and measured in approach, smooth funnel, soft hands, confident glove skills, sets up in line with energy toward 1st base, plays low to and through.
Run: 7.15 runner in the 60.

2/20/19

at Petaluma - Athletic 5-foot-9, 165-pounds, in terms of results (he was 4-4 and his bunt single with a runner at 3B in I believe the 5th inning that made it 2-0 and also had two line drive singles to left and a hustle double on a ball he lashed to right-centerfield). His hands really work at the plate, good top hand on the high pitch, barrel all game long, has enough bat speed now and more as he gets stronger, but its the timing and ability to see the pitch early that stood out as he covered all parts of the zone. Very aggressive base runner, big hard aggressive turn allowed him to take 2nd on that hustle double. Impressive freshman hitting out of the 5-hole in his first game. To make it all more impressive, he was facing a pitcher who was 84-87 mph to go with a good hard breaking ball. Nothing cheap.
