3/20/19

Vs Serra - Boise State commit. Big bodied 1B that hit in the middle of the lineup for Mitty. Power is there, though it didn’t show much in the outing as he was very choppy on some swings grounding out twice and flaring a ball to LF. Did some nice things at first showing a good target and stretching out to make a nice pick from across the diamond early in the game. Hopped on the mound and went the last two innings giving up a run on 3 hits and flashing a decent knuckleball and short curveball pitching backwards. The bat is the carrying tool and looks like it will hit in the middle of the Boise State lineup.

6/1/18 - 6/3/18 @ BAWS 2018 - Big football lineman type body type. Hits from slight crouch with hands in back shoulder pocket; compact stroke with middle of field approach. Patient with ability to hit in all counts. Ability to drive balls into gaps and current pull power showing flashes of more raw power. Average range and arm with accurate throws from compact arm. Slow feet with larger frame to get down line; 4.97 Home-1st. High energy player with outstanding communication skills and exceptional awareness of and positivity with teammates.

3/31/18 - Uncommitted. 6-foot-2, 240-pound frame. XL frame with wide shoulders and current strength throughout body; ability to continue to tone strength before getting to college level. Left-handed power 1B with short compact stroke built to hit in middle of lineup. 1-2, 2B, 3 RBI, 1 R. Relaxed, wide base stance with hands at back shoulder; quiet load with hands straight back and small lift of front foot. Gets excellent tension in core with hands load and showed strong weight transfer in swing through contact. Very quick hands showing strength in swing with current pull-side power. Double into right-centerfield gap was missile off bat and sac fly was hit just as hard with more loft allowing RF to make excellent catch at fence. Below average runner from max effort, but enough athleticism and length in stride to not be a base clogger; could see this improving as he tones up but also not a major part of his game. Smooth around the bag at 1st with soft hands on balls in dirt. Average arm at 1st showing ability to put ball on bag and moves well enough to not be stationary at position. Colleges should be looking more at this kid. Bat looks to be very good and could play at next level.
