PBR CA STATE GAMES - Full bodied, large frame with youth weight and some current strength on the frame; can continue to shape body over coming years. High hands with flared elbows showing ability to keep hands tight to the body through smooth turns; barrel is compact with strong extension showing ability to drive the ball into gaps. Had a solid weekend finding barrels and picking up multiple hits including multiple XBH’s. Shows actions to develop well as corner profile guy with growing arm strength; will need to improve first step reactions to make jumps to stick at 3B. On mound went two innings giving up 1 hit, 1 BB. Stands tall with hands staying at the chest holding through a high front knee landing on rigid front side. Arm has length working to high, over-the-top slot. FB 72-75 working through top of the zone with bits of run and cut. SLD 67-70 11/4 break with flashes of bite; chance for pitch to improve as he strengthens and matures. CHG 66-67 with arm side fade; best when keeping same arm speed as Fastball.
