vs Redwood HS - Uncommitted; Long lean and lanky 6-foot-6 200-pounds, has put on some good size/strength to the frame since last spring. Utilized only the fastball in this preseason game and completed 7 IP in 69 pitches (3 K, 4 H, 0 BB), fastball up to 88, last pitch of game 86. Willing to compete in the zone and let control & movement work for him. As the velocity climbs that control will be even more effective as he will be able to get hitters to expand. Loose arm, clean on backside with slight length, bringing ball behind his head to hide it a bit, eventually reaching a high 3/4 slot. On line stride with slight heel land but maintained stability throughout the delivery. Good backside finish with good body control. Showed ability to pound both side of the plate with some life through the zone. Calm confident demeanor and acknowledgement of teammates making plays. Not all that common to see a junior with his height and the ability to throw quality strikes all day long.

at Sonoma Valley HS - Uncommitted; 6-foot-5, 180-pounds, tall and lanky, still displays good athleticism and ability to field his position. Mostly fastball/curveball, FB 83-85 T87, CB 70-72. High 3/4 release, has a little herky jerky delivery out of windup but is very consistent and gets to a good throwing position every time. Shows good command with FB and has good downward tilt from his high release point, uses CB effectively when it starts on same plane as FB it is difficult to recognize out of hand. Modified slide step out of the stretch around 1.2 to the plate.
