Positional Profile: SS/C Nagashima is a dream as a catcher/UTL, 7.07 60-yard dash, and SH with pop.
Body: 6-1, 185-pounds. Extremely athletic build with good strength structure.
Hit: SH. Tall stance, weight over his back hip. Bat over his shoulder. Loads down and back, steps in on stride, cuts off over rotation. 65.1 mph bat speed with 12 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 91 max exit velocity, averaged 75.2 mph. 287' max distance.
Arm: RH. C-79 mph. INF-86 mph. Quick and whippy arm from the INF. From C, throws from a 3/4 slot with side spin.
Defense: 2.15-2.19 pop times. Good feet and positioning in the INF. From C, started from 1 knee, transition could use some work.
ATH: 7.07 runner in the 60. 26.30 max vertical.
Body: 5-11, 165-pounds. Athletic, slender frame. Room to pack on mass and strength.
Hit: SH. Similar set up from both sides of the plate. Feet are square and shoulder-width apart with some slight knee bend. Holds hands high and has a slow floating leg kick. Lands on a firm front side. Has quick hands and hips on inside pitches. Had a high on plane efficiency at 71% and showed the ability to consistently barrel up balls from both sides of the plate
Power: 86.00 max exit velocity.
Arm: RH. INF - 75.00 mph. Has fluid 3/4 arm action, that can tend to get a bit long for IF. Showed ability to throw from different angles accurately.
Defense: Does good job of getting up on his toes when fielding groundballs. Footwork is quiet and clean, and he puts himself in great fielding positions.
Run: 7.64 runner in the 60.
Body: 5-10, 150-pounds. Lean athletic build with room to fill out.
Hit: Switch. Similar set up from both sides. Open stance with a slight lean into his backside. Starts load early and stays connected to his backside. Swings are similar from both sides. Both smooth strokes that work on a flatter path with maybe a little more lift from the right side. Worked the whole field and showed a nice ability to stay inside the baseball.
Power: 84 mph exit velocity. Not much power currently but clean mechanics and with plenty of room to fill out show power will come.
Arm: RH. C - 69 mph. INF - 74 mph. At C, the arm action was quick and snappy. Throwdowns were mostly one-hops to the bag. Quick to release. At SS arm action was quick and fluid, in rhythm with feet. 5/6 accurate throws.
Defense: 2.14-2.33 pop times. At C, showed quick feet and clean exchanges. At SS showed good feet and range. Took good angles, softer hands, and clean transitions.
Run: 7.67 runner in the 60.
