3/10/19: Injured after colliding with center fielder Kyle Robinson in the first game of the previous weekend series against Fullerton State, Stowers did not play the first two games of the Texas series. At 6-foot-3, 205 pounds he's athletic bodied with good strength throughout. His frame should also allow for some additional strength/weight gains in the future. His loose hands and the great use of his hips (reminds me of Jason Giambi) in his swing produce torque and plus bat speed with power to all fields. At the plate he sets up in an upright and relaxed stance. Takes a controlled, soft stride and maintains good balance with a still head. Good rhythm, separation, lift and extension to his swing. Potential for more power as develops as a hitter and recognizes more balls he can drive and lift to his pull side. Average runner underway. Arm showed better on this look than last summer in the Cape. It came out quick from the hand with a low trajectory and solid carry. It was average and accurate, the type of arm that could play in right field, yet best suited for left. Overall, he is sound defensively and profiles to either corner. Likely Day One selection this June. (Seifert)

11/4/18: Large frame with athletic build showing length in legs and a tight waistline; strong and agile build with frame that has some room for growth. Tall, balanced stance with very relaxed hands held near the middle of the back shoulder and elbows low to body; stance reminded me of Joc Pederson as he tightened his grip while loading back into his shoulder, showing a slight bend of the body over plate with quick leg lift. Very quick bat that works on an uphill plane having full finish high over his back shoulder; bat explodes through impact as he keeps hands inside baseball showing ability to create easy loft and big raw pull power deep into RF and RCF during BP. In game, showed strong zone recognition with ability to consistently find barrels; doubled deep into LCF and hit a missile into RCF. Average runner (4.90 turn) showing longer stride with athleticism out of box; looks like more is available when needed. Longer arm action from OF with a quick release. Fringe-average defender in outfield with average range in left showing ability to close on ball and make routine plays. Bat has very strong profile with ability to create loud contact and do damage from left side. (Ozella)

8/15/18Loose, athletic bodied at six-foot-three, 205 pounds, Stowers made a huge impression with scouts this summer. His loose hands routinely produced easy bat speed and plus juice in batting practice. At the plate he set up in an upright and relaxed stance. Took a controlled, soft stride and maintained good balance with a still head. Showed good rhythm, separation and lift to his swing. Potential for even more power as develops as a hitter and uses his lower half more. An aggressive hitter, he used the middle of the field to produce a slash of .326/.361/.565 with six home runs. Did show some holes in his plate coverage and vulnerability to the back-knee slider and the fastball on the outer third. Average runner underway. Accurate arm that should play in right field. Sound defensively and profiles to either corner. With continued high-level performance this spring, he will likely will receive Day One consideration in June. (Seifert)
