Johnson was a familiar face as he came down to our State Games this summer, when he put on a display hitting, and put up a bunch of numbers on the leaderboards. Johnson ended up hitting a triple late in the game to give the Thundering Herd momentum, the swing has improved even more from this summer. He’s an athlete, Johnson was moving around the bases on his triple, his 60 time from the summer was a 7.08. Johnson is signed to go to Fresno Pacific this fall, hoping to win a section championship for his senior year.

Positional Profile: OF/RHP Athletic LHH with solid contact and power potential. Possesses reliable outfield actions.
Body: 5-11, 190-pounds. Long levers with noticeable strength and room for added physical development.
Hit: LHH. Slight bend in knees, gradual load and rise with the hands. Quiet and controlled tempo. Sets up with a slightly dipped back shoulder. Keeps a slightly upward barrel path with consistent contact, producing line drives with natural backspin. 70.1 mph bat speed with 17 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 103 max exit velocity, averaged 92.4 mph. 350' max distance.
Arm: RH. OF-88 mph. Over-the-top arm action, loose and fluid, allowing for strong, accurate throws from the outfield. Possesses carry.
Defense: Takes decisive, assertive routes to the ball with confident, controlled movement in the OF.
