2022 AREA CODE GAMES: a UCLA recruit, continued to show himself to have one of the highest floor’s in the class. Striking out six in three innings of work, Stump efficiently and effectively utilized a 87-90 fastball to all four quadrants while showcasing a quality changeup that profiled well off the fastball and a slider that was dropped in for strikes. Athletic and uptempo, Stump wrapped up a spring/summer season with a strong performance, even after compiling a significant number of innings.

at Willow Glen HS - Oregon commit; one of Northern CA's top 2023 prospects, lanky long body, sinewy and lean, fluid mound actions, extremely easy arm action, buttery smooth, in-line stride with maybe just a touch of cross body landing, finishes with balance and stability, quiet head, overhand slot, medium length on backside, syncs up arm action with lower half very well, FB 88-91, sat 88-89 in both 4th/5th innings so ability to hold velocity is not in question, flashed multiple movements with FB including run ride & sink, got ground balls and strikeouts with the FB, flashed one CHG that was plus while also showing his consistency with the pitch is a work in progress, changed speeds with CHG (73, 76, 79 mph), slider also flashed as potential above average offering (78-80 mph) though used sparingly, lives off the FB and trusts it in the zone. Struggled on a couple of bunts back to him so to nit-pick an elite 2023 pitching prospect it's an area to improve. Calm and very confident on the mound, relaxed and loose.
