Event: Fresno Preseason ID Positional Profile: SS/3B Physical: 6-2, 165-pounds; 4.02 30-yard, 27.1” max jump height; Long body, lean lithe wiry body type, lanky proportions to add size and strength as he matures. Offensively: LH. EV max – 90.0 mph, hand speed max – 21.9 mph, bat speed max – 64.0 mph; Even feet, back foot slightly angled to catcher, hands start deep, starts vertically stacked in slight sitting crouch, medium depth load straight back, medium knee lift out to medium stride, sinks into back side as he strides, whippy lively stroke, stays consistently on-plane at high level, as he gains strength the swing is present to develop into an offensive LHH middle-infielder. Defensively: SS – 84 mph; Quick feet, walks into prep position, somewhat small choppy steps on way to closing on ball (could certainly have been the indoor scenario with minimal room/time to approach ball), plays low to and through ball, puts nose on it and willing to dig out a tough play, occasionally tips over which can happen given his height, plays fast, loose quick arm, tools are there and some slight refinements to smooth out the footwork can be a positive development.
