Second time getting to see Georges this spring, as Clovis made the trip up to NorCal to take on the Thundering Herd. Last time, Georges didn’t have the best outing, but his team came out on top with the win in extras against Turlock. This time, it was the exact opposite, he had a great outing, but his team ended up getting walked off in the bottom of the 8th inning. Georges has such a powerful delivery, I really noticed it, and he definitely is a guy who’s velocity climbs as the game goes on. He was dominating the Thundering Herd lineup with his fastball, which was sitting between 92-94 mph T95. The slider was the best I’ve seen, the hitters had no chance of touching it, sitting between 81-85 mph with sharp & late bite. Gerorges did flash a changeup occasionally but he was primarily using the FB/SL mix. His velocity held up all the way until his last pitch, still sitting in the 92-93 mph range late. Even though Clovis lost, Georges did more than enough to put his team in a spot to win, he managed to strike out nine, walking none, and giving up a run.
Logan Georges, a 6’5, 210-pound right-handed pitcher from Clovis High School (CA), is a top-tier prospect in the class of 2026, committed to TCU. Possessing a physically imposing frame with room for further development, Georges projects as a high-upside arm with professional potential. Observed in a recent outing, he demonstrated advanced pitchability and a commanding presence on the mound. Georges’ fastball sits 90.7-93.3 mph, touching 93.5 mph, with exceptional life driven by an average spin rate of 2,595 rpm. The pitch’s steep angle, amplified by his height, generates consistent swing-and-miss outcomes, particularly when elevated. His changeup, registering 83.1-83.2 mph with a max spin rate of 1,787 rpm, shows deceptive arm speed and late fade, effectively neutralizing opposite-handed hitters. The slider, a standout offering at 78.4-79.9 mph with 2,500 rpm of spin, features sharp, late break, producing frequent whiffs and weak contact. His three-pitch arsenal is complemented by a repeatable delivery and advanced feel for sequencing, rare for his age. Georges’ frame, athleticism, and clean arm action suggest potential for increased velocity as he matures. Already a standout in a competitive region, he projects as a frontline starter with the tools to dominate at the collegiate level and beyond. Georges is a high-priority follow for scouts seeking impact arms in the 2026 class.
