2/18/19 - Scrimmages vs Rocklin/Bella Vista - UC Santa Barbara commit. Seems to always do 2-3 things a game that put his team in a position to win a game and did so again in this viewing. In the first scrimmage he drove a ball to centerfield and then later doubled down the RF line, then walked in his 3rd at-bat. He really does a nice job of keeping his top hand above the ball and controlling the barrel at contact. His balance throughout his swing is also a plus attribute. Defensively he's the player who is instinctively in the right place and with solid tools, it's his playabilty that rates higher. There is a good chance that he will also close some games this season if the Marauders can find someone to play shortstop if Williams takes the mound. He was 85-87 mph, works quick, and showed feel and good control of the slider, which against high school competition, would be very difficult to deal with. Video of his pitching is available.

5/3/18 - Uncommited as of this report. High motor player, makes winning baseball plays and contributions in numerous ways, showed good hit and hit run skill, showed flat swing and ability to swing ability to dig out tough pitches and use the middle of  the field. Good baserunning as he took an extra base on an overthrow from the outfield which contributed to a run in game that his team won 2-1. Scored from 2nd on a hit that necessitated that he made a good reach in order to score. Defensively the arm is a little short but his accurate is good, threw out a runner at 3rd and at home on relay throws from the outfield, both plays contributed to his team winning. Fun to watch him compete and play winning baseball. Baseball player with talented and athleticism but more than that, he's got feel to play the game.

3/26/18 - Uncommitted. 6-foot, 165-pound frame. Lean, athletic, sturdy build with squared shoulders and muscular lower half that projects to add more strength with continued physical development. Williams flashes a lot of athleticism in his movements defensively and when he's on the basepaths. At the plate, Williams uses a balanced setup before shifting weight to his back leg and driving his lower to lead this arms/chest into his swing. Keeps the barrel in the hitting zone throughout his swing. Adjusts to pitches well. Shows feel for the barrel through the zone with a slightly upward swing path. Defensively, Williams shows good agility and flexibility with while staying balanced. Williams shows lateral quickness allowing him to make plays to both sides and has the arm quickness and strength to make all the throws. On slow rollers he charges through the ball showing defensive instincts.

3/23/18 - Uncommitted. Young, athletic, strong versatile frame to grow into. Muscle will pack on with maturity. Calm competitive nature with high baseball IQ. The kind of fundamental player that doesn’t make many mental or physical errors, smart decision player who understands the game. Stable, athletic position at the plate, pronounced lower half in stance. Minimal upper body movement during the swing, swings with legs and hands. Track of his barrel matches the track of the pitch, high percentage contact hitter who can hit in any count. High hand path allows him to stay on top of the ball. Defensively, ran a high bounding ball at 2nd base to his left, got the out at 1st throwing on the run across his body for the out, quick transfer. Comfortable throwing from where the ball is received. On the mound, fastball sat 82 – 83 mph, touched 86 one time. CB 70-72 mph. Fundamental delivery, high percentage strike thrower.
