ACG Tryout - Balanced and athletic swing led to two great ABs during the live scrimmage (RBI 2B RCF and SF RBI). Took great angles to ground balls that allowed him to get behind his throws. Ran a 7.07 second 60 yard dash and threw 81 mph across the diamond. Thinner, wiry build.
Positional Profile: SS/2B
Physical: 5-11, 140 pounds; Athletic, wiry build. 7.39 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Short take back with the hands with a moderate leg kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a direct swing path with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 83 MPH via Trackman. Balanced and athletic swing, keeps head on the ball.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep hop while displaying fluid actions to the baseball. Hands are underneath the body with a clean transfer. Short take back from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 74 MPH. Fluid and graceful with direct and clean angles.
