Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average

Event: Future Games Tryout: NorCal Positional Profile: SS/P Physical: 5-11, 155-pounds; Long, lean frame with plenty of additional room to fill out; 7.22 60-yard, 3.98 30-yard, 1.68 10-yard Offensively: SH. EV max – 90.0 mph, hand speed max – 22.6 mph, bat speed max – 66.8 mph; Even stance with weight evenly dispersed. Hands behind the ear. Shifts weight to the back leg before striding and firing hands through the zone. Flat stroke and two handed finish. Nearly identical process on both sides of the plate Defensively: INF - 85 mph; Fluid defender. Loose, soft hands and snappy release. Took direct angles to the ball.
Delivery: Rocks front leg forward then back then into high knee lift. Simple stride down the mound with a closed front-side. Finishes with body swung towards the first base dugout. Arm Action: 3/4 release. Separates at the abdomen. Long arm swing. FB: T85.3 mph, 83.5 - 84.8 mph range, 1834 avg spin; Straight plane. SL: 71.4 - 72.4 mph, 1774 avg spin; Dives down and away effectively. CHG: 76.8 - 78.2 mph, 1869 avg spin; Deceptive. Consistent delivery with FB keeps hitters off balance, more of a straight CHG vs one with depth to bottom of zone.
Arm Action: INF- 85mph. Longer, fluid swing from a ¾ slot, that slings the ball across the diamond. 4 out of 5 throws made accurately, good carry/life on throws with some velocity.
Defense: Prep step, athletic/smooth feet, gets around the ball quick, funnels to the chest, keeps an open hip towards target, compact exchange into a longer/slinging arm action.
Hit: RHH. Wide base, even feet, knees slightly bent. Hands are drawn back and even with shoulder height. Small bat wiggle, calm hands, quiet toe tap, into a long swing, extended through contact w/ two handed finish. Keeps the chin on the ball through the swing, showed some pull side power/hard contact (ex velo max- 90mph).
Delivery: Begins in the stretch from the center of the rubber, high leg kick, longer stride, spins over a firm front side.
Arm Action: RH: Medium, fluid arm swing out of a ¾ slot. Quick, loose arm speed.
FB: T83, 82-83. Heavy FB with plenty of run. Higher efficiency (96%) lead to more ASR. 50% in-zone.
SL: 67-69. 10/4 shape with spin induced break.
CH: 74-77. Quality shape. Kills plenty of IVB and keeps the fade.

NorCal Underclass Game - Flashed tools that will be described as toolsy in a year or so when he gains more physicality (25.1" vertical jump). Showed top INF arm at 81 mph with athletic actions at SS. Offensively he's got a swing that gets the barrel in the zone quickly and stays in the zone through contact. Oppo pop showed up in game play w/double to RCF along w/three other quality ABs. On mound up to 82.7 mph w/hints of a useable SL down the road.

Positional Profile: 3B/SS Body: 5-9, 140-pounds. Small lean build. Plenty of room to still fill out. Hit: RHH. Sets up slightly open with loose low hanging hands. Hands pull back as he loads with a mild leg lift trigger. Compact swing. Turns tight and quick. Bat path was level-steep (75% GBs). Middle of the field approach. Power: 81.00 max exit velocity, LD singles power. Average bat speed. The rotational acceleration average of 18 gs shows a decent power ceiling to build from. Arm: INF - 79.00 mph. Longer arm action. Average arm strength. 11/12 accurate throws from both 1st and 3rd. Average quickness to release. Defense: Average defensive actions. Fielded flat-footed at times which hurts momentum and rhythm. Good hands with a clean funnel. Had to reset feet to the forehand side but was quick to release to the backhand side. Run: 7.83 runner in the 60.
