Positional Profile: RHP
Physical: 6-foot-4, 185-pounds; broad frame, long limbs, projects to be a strong man.
Delivery: Tall and commanding posture, feet are set wide with glove above the ear almost like a batting stance. Moves quick down the hill with a long stride.
Arm Action: High 3/4 release, tight arm path with elbow flexion just past 90 degrees all the way around.
FB: T89.0 mph, 886.8 - 88.7 mph range, 2152 avg spin; Plenty of tail. Consistently hit the low and away black on the FB.
SL: 73.6 - 76.5 mph, 2652 avg spin; Barnes’ SL spins incredibly well, it sweeps with tons of horizontal movement coming from him slightly stepping across his body on delivery.
CB: 70.4 - 72.4 mph, 2646 avg spin; Dominant spin makes the pitch disappear out of the eyes of the batter. Late and sharp downward break that froze batters who were trying to get on the FB.
