3/1/19 - Duke commit. Israel possesses tools that profile well for the centerfield position with his speed and arm strength. On one chance he ranged to his right making a catch in the gaps for an out showing his instincts and reads off the bat. Handled a line drive to center field easily and got it in quickly. Struggled a bit at the plate as got a diet of mostly curveballs from Blawn. Had him at 4.31 on a groundout in the first inning. There’s room for growth at the plate as the tools appear raw there but there’s flashes in there of his potential.
