2020 Sage Creek, OF, L/R. Mixed bag results offensively, singled twice including a key RBI but struck out twice and looked overmatched. Stole 20 bases in the regular season and possess ivy league grades.
4/09/19
2020 Sage Creek OF Nick Naccarato is listed at 6-foot-1 160 pounds and is currently uncommitted. Throws right and hits left. Started in left-field and hit leadoff for the ranked Bobcats. During pre-game infield/outfield showed some range, speed and feel for the position. Tracked well but lacked elite quickness, reportedly 6.9 seconds in the 60-yard dash. Consistently kept the apex of the throws low enough and hit the cutoff man when necessary. Current skill set and ability grades out at 45-55. Offensively all four at-bats were against left-handed pitching. Sets up in a wide stance with a light front foot lift and plant. Swing path is on a level plane with little to no angle and a fluid follow through. Swing looked at best when he took a fastball on the outer half of the plate to left-center for a double, displaying quick hands and excellent barrel swing plane. Struggled with fastball’s inside, swinging through multiple strikes on the inner half with a dead pull approach and front side pull creating a hook barrell swing plane and low contact rate. Current skill set, high test scores and at times a quality D1 swing could find himself on the west coast division 1 radar.
