Comments
8/10/16 - Great approach in the box and can really hit. He’s also a good defender and teams likely covet him as a position player first, but he has the fallback of being able to pitch too. He’s a legitimate prospect on the mound with an easy, athletic delivery. He pitched two innings Tuesday, sitting at 89 and mixing in a 70-73 curveball and 79 changeup. He allowed a run on a hit and walk while striking out two.
6/25/16 - Had five plate appearances Saturday and walked four times, giving him five on the tournament. He also pitched two innings, striking out two.
6/23/16 - Known for his ability with the bat, but he is nothing to sniff at on the mound either. He’s athletic and pitches with a high leg kick and slight turn in his delivery. His fastball is modest, sitting 86-89, but he gets some arm-side sink to it from a high-3/4 slot. He has excellent feel for a good changeup, which has sink and fade and looks like a fastball out of his hand at 77-80. His curveball was 72-74 with 1/7 shape.
6/22/16 - Took an easy BP with a smooth, left-handed swing. He’s balanced and drives the ball in both gaps.
