Vs Monte Vista - Uncommitted. Strong medium frame showed a compact bat with quick hand speed making hard contact three times. Kept a simple setup and approach without chasing bad pitches. Got a hanging breaking ball in 1st AB and squared it up right at the left-fielder. In 2nd AB got hanging breaking ball again and lined it into CF. Last AB lined a drive right at the CF. Fair arm strength showing decent blocking skills.
Uncommitted; smaller body type but wiry strong and well-proportioned, impressive behind the plate. Plays with fiery competitive spirit that seemed to resonate well with teammates. Consistently 2.04-2.11 on warm-up pop throws, throws stayed on-line with some carry and no tailing or dying action. Received well and presented pitches well for umpire. Can stick the low pitch and also noticed his good rapport with the umpire that contributed to stealing a few strikes. Offensively displayed a pull-oriented approach and as he's not a big player, has to provide team-type at-bats such as moving runner, bunts, etc. Plenty of things to like about him that suggest he will be able to play beyond the high school level
