3/11/20

at Acalanes -  Cal State East Bay commit; Not a big player but at 5-foot-6, 170-pounds he's got a compact, muscular build. Athletic and strong. Scrappy player, messed with pitcher while on base. Good speed, 7.89 seconds 2nd to home on base hit. Made infielder rush a throw on a play he beat out on infield single. Hustled out of box on walk, yet another indication of his energy. Open stance, stands close to plate and up in the box. Quiet mechanics, small leg kick, hands high with slight load and explosive swing that creates above average bat speed. Solid fielder, displays easy, smooth actions. Good arm but probably better suited for SS or 2B vs 3rd base. Solid overall player.

5/21/19

at De La Salle in NCS D1 semi-final - Uncommitted; played gutty and tough style of shortstop, stays below the ball, good arm, good hands, technically sound footwork on feeds to 2B, energetic and impactful on defensive side, even the error he made showed his defensive chops as he was forced to charge a chopper by a plus runner and couldn't quite get handle on it. Arm might be a TICK low for left side at major college. Quick bat at plate, banged 89 mph fastball up middle to lead off game, worked middle of the field, has bat speed and strength, short and compact but strong, can definitely contribute to a college program.

4/10/19

at De La Salle - Uncommitted; Smallish but compact 5-foot-6, 170-pounds, looks athletic and strong. Good defender at third base, stays down on the ball, good footwork, strong arm and knows how to use his extra time from third base, also has ability to make highlight plays with lots of range in the hole. Seems like he could fit anywhere in the infield mostly at third or second. At the plate he has good discipline and makes good contact, tendency to dip back shoulder as weight goes to back side causing pop ups. If he can keep move his weight forward and attack the baseball, his strength will allow him to put up more power numbers and hit hard line drives more consistently to make him a a very nice well rounded ballplayer.
