California State Games - Having seen Greenspan (R/R) a few times, he does have tools and a body that are attractive and projects well for the college game. What has been MOST impressive about him are the length and quality of his at-bats. He is TENACIOUS in the box and can grind down a pitcher and as he gains more consistency relative to barelling his pitch early in the at-bat (something nearly ALL high school hitters can improve), he will emerge as a hitter colleges may take notice of.
Positional Profile: OF/RHP Greenspan has a imposing presence with his size on the field. He hits the ball hard and moves well.
Body: 6-0, 192-pounds. Solid base, stocky build.
Hit: RHH. Upright with wide feet. Knob of bat pointed towards the catcher. Steps in on the stride, gets bat through the zone quickly. Covers inside pitches well. 68.6 mph bat speed with 6 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 94 max exit velocity, averaged 83.5 mph. 345' max distance.
Arm: RH. OF-82 mph. Clean arm action, solid delivery on target.
Defense: Momentum carries him towards the target.
