Game Performance

Notes

Comments

7/11/21

Body: Strong sturdy body, lower half is strong.  Moves well for a big body catcher, 5’11 and 200 pounds.

Hit: Balanced stance, with little movement, rocks to the back side for load.  Hands position back for explosive attack of the ball.  Stays behind the baseball well, with the barrel out in front.  Balanced throughout the swing.

Power: Max exit velo 96 mph

Arm: Pop times from 2.01-2.07, quick release of the ball and will throw from knees in game situations

Defense: Good low target, uses soft hands to receive the ball.  Balanced when out of crouch, quick feet.  Covers a lot of spce when blocking balls.

Run: Ran a 7.78 (60 yard)

2/01/20

PBR Far North Preseason ID

Body: 5-foot-11, 195-pounds. Full bodied & stout
Hit: RHH. Tall set-up, minimal to no leg lift, no stride, quiet hand load, quiet head. Short bat path, swings easy, accelerates through contact, quick bat speed, oppo approach. Strength shows up.
Power: 86 mph EV off tee
Arm: RH. C - 73; 1B - 75 - On line throws, inconsistent carry
Defense: 2.13-2.19 Pop-times - Quiet feet in exchange, clean transfer, fairly efficient mechanics behind plate, can improve timing of hands/feet. Calm actions at 1B, soft hands w/glove skills
Run: 7.78 60-yard

10/27/18

NCTB Fall Classic - Stout 5-foot-9 body and has some strength that shows up at the plate, limited look but there were some attributes of him at the plate that were impressive. Aggressive and strength are two of those attributes, good bat speed and a solid approach with ability to get barrel on time. Freshman to know and see how he evolves because he looks like he will develop some power.
