2/12/19 - Sebby got the start for the Chargers and looked sharp during most of his outing (4.2 IP, 3H, 2R, 4K, BB) with the exception of one mistake where he left a fastball over the heart of the plate that Zack Rivas pounded to left-center-field for a two-run home run and Long Beach City’s only runs on the day. Sebby shows a loose, easy arm that he gets into a high 3/4 slot from a dip-and-drive delivery. He showed a three-pitch mix that he commanded well, with his best pitch on the day being his changeup. The pitch features late diving action to the back foot of right handed hitters at 83-85 mph. He threw the pitch in every count resulting in swing-and-miss results repeatedly. Sebby worked 88-90 with his fastball that touched 93 once. The pitch shows some life as it enters the zone. There’s hints or run to the arm side while working down in the zone. He also shows two varieties of a curveball. One is a slurvy type pitch that shows late diving break. The other is a true two-plane curveball that is tight with sharp downer break. Both worked in the 72-76 range.
